Veil Ori'anami
Veil Ori’anami was born in the bustling desert city of Ul'dah to Amelia Ori’anami, a celebrated songstress of Ala Mhigan descent whose performances once graced the gatherings of the city’s elite. Amelia’s voice was renowned for its ability to capture the hearts of audiences, but after Veil’s birth, she left the stage behind. Seeking a quieter life, she moved to Wineport in Eastern La Noscea, taking up work as a winemaker. Though she abandoned her life of performance, Amelia’s love for music never waned. Veil’s earliest memories were filled with her mother’s lullabies—melodies that spoke of grand adventures and heroic deeds, sparking in her a passion for exploration and discovery.Amelia eventually remarried, finding companionship with Alexois Faintillaud, an Elezen Storm Sergeant stationed in Wineport. Alexois, a protector of the town and a skilled bow hunter, quickly took on the role of father to Veil. Embracing her as his own, he began to share his knowledge and skills with her. When Veil turned twelve, their hunts together became a cornerstone of her upbringing. Under his patient guidance, she learned to wield both bow and sword, to respect the delicate balance of nature, and to become self-sufficient—crafting her own garments, tools, and weapons.“A good hunter is self-reliant,” Alexois would often remind her, words that echoed through the quiet forests and rolling hills of their hunting grounds. These lessons shaped Veil into an independent and resourceful young woman, capable of navigating the challenges of the world on her own terms. As the years passed, Veil’s longing for adventure grew stronger. Stories of distant lands and untold wonders fueled her imagination, and by the time she reached seventeen, the pull to see the world could no longer be ignored. With a mix of pride and sadness, Amelia gave her blessing, sending Veil into the world with a heart full of hope and the lessons of her upbringing to guide her.Veil’s journey led her across the vast expanse of Eorzea, where she honed her skills and embraced new ones. Over time, she became a skilled wielder of Red Magic, blending martial prowess with arcane mastery. Her travels brought her to the aid of those in need, whether completing dangerous hunt bills or taking on tasks that required both cunning and courage. Driven by an insatiable curiosity, she seeks to uncover the mysteries of Etheirys, leaving no stone unturned in her quest to experience all the world has to offer.Through it all, Veil carries the spirit of her family with her—the songs of her mother, the teachings of her stepfather, and the unyielding desire to forge her own path. For her, adventure is not just a way of life; it is the very essence of her being.

Communicate: If something is off or something offends you, please talk to me OOC. Let's resolve it. I'm still fairly new to this scene, so guidance is always helpful.Subject Matter: I'm generally ok with most subject matter. Hard topics such as drug, alchohol abuse, abusive childhoods, usual triggering events are fine by me usually. I just ask you stop if I ever need you to stop. It's rare but it happens.Hatefulness - I won't tolerate homophobic, xenophobic, racist, sexist, misogynistic (woman hating) nor misandrist (man hating) comments. I especially won't tolerate transphobia. None of it's called for. OOC Hate is never called for. Ever. Also...please respect lalafells.Violence: Veil is a duelist. She does enjoy a good duel, so feel free to challenge her. If you decide you want to be more an adversary then an ally, she will fight back with all she has. You can try to kill her, but obviously her death is off the table.Insider Knowledge - I love to write about Veil's adventures when I can. As a result the readers may have some insight into her that their characters may not necessarily know nor should they know unless Veil talks about it! Feel free to read them to gain insight OOCly, but leave that knowledge at the door the second the RP tags go on.Romance - I'm generally ok with something ICly developing if something develops naturally. However, IC does not equal OOC. Also, ERP is always off the table.RPs Accepted:
Adventure
Tavern/Bar/Lounge Talk
Exploration
Combat
Romantic (provided a relationship has developed naturally, ICly)I generally avoid Slice of Life. I just find them boring.I also avoid Discord RP unless I really know you. Just not my thing. If I'm not in game, I'm not RPing.
